The Dog Bite Saga: The End

I case you were wondering if the people whose dog bit Goldie are actually as much fun as I made them out to be (Background story Part One and Part Two), I have something to show you.

I got the settlement check for $208.25 today with this note:

Way to stay Klassy! I'm having the envelope checked for Anthrax spores right now.

PS Is there ever a troll in the history of the world who has known the difference between "your" and "you're"?

Fucking SPELL CHECK MY GOD.

Wow. There are no words for people like that.

Oh, Suebob, this is beyond the beyond. I'm so sorry. The fact that they lied in front of their children told their whole story so I can't say I'm shocked, but I am seriously upset that this happened to you. If it were me I would log a police.sheriff report, especially because of the "see you at the beach" part. At least to document a threat in case there are others, would help you get an order of protection. I would also send a copy of it and of the check to the clerk of the court that issued your judgment. Just horrible. Gah!

Jesus. I cannot believe that. So ridiculous.

Deb - I'm not upset or scared. They're not dangerous, just idiots.

Holy crap! Some people's kids, man.

Barnmaven said...

Sad that these people have an overinflated opinion of their worth. Even sadder that they're raising children to be just like them.

Jaw. On floor.

And you KNOW he/she was all "SNAP IN Z-FORMATION!" after busting that out.

Those poor kids hope they get a clue when they get older and realize what creeps their parents are. The donation receipt will be some nice icing on the cake. Maybe donate it to the school as a spelling bee prize make it Goldie's gift to them

The "Dearest" salutation was a nice touch. GOOD LORD.

It is so exasperating when people seem to live in a parallel universe that bears no resemblance to reality. Don't you just want to grab them by the shoulders and shake them?!

meno said...

Their two stupid to no when to use you're.

Isabella Golightly said...

And they got "where" and "were" wrong too. What a bunch of cretins. I'm with Deb, these people (and I use the term loosely) are psychos. I hope you have a PO box!

odd that they chose to use the word vindictive. the vitriole spewing from their letter has venom in it. in any case, screw their neighborhood, you have the internet!

though I think the saddest part is that with a dog like that, it might hurt a child and with owners like that it's hard to see where they would care

It's so hard to run into people who are so sure that everything bad that may happen to them is the fault of someone else. At times I wonder why we have so many people like this in our world nowdays (yes, I know I sound like an old fogey when I write that.)

As for their spelling/grammar, etc, I can promise they were never listening in school!

Well, I am glad you're not upset - but I am. This kind of thing makes me so angry; you are a better person that I am, that's for sure.

I'm sorry you had to endure all this, I'm sorry that Goldie was hurt, and I'm sorry that those children of theirs will probably just end up the latest generation of morons. But on the upside, that check will help some needy animals - so go, you!

Well, so much for the idea that they may have learned a lesson. Good Lord, what cretins.

You need to send a copy of that letter to the judge. And have one put in the case file at the courthouse. I'm not kidding. That way if this person ever gets in the court system again, at least the next person will be able to prove what kind of people they really are.

Major Bedhead said...

Holy shit, Suebob. That letter is just vile. I agree, you need to send copies of it to the courthouse. What horrible, horrible people.

How much do you want to bet that check bounces?

Apparently they skip punctuation in troll school. You know, so we can spot the real ones...

This makes me SO ANGRY.

If these people were witty in addition to being hateful it would be a bit more tolerable.

But they're hateful and not very clever, and they have learned NO lesson.

It makes me wish I knew the law better, because then I would know if there would be some redress, someone to notify, when a person sends a note this vile along with the settlement of a court case.

Now, me, I'd scan the letter, transcribe it, and send it to lettersofnote.com or somewhere similar. WITH NONE OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED.

I would make sure their mail was very, very google-able.

I might even try and sic 4chan on them.

I hate crap like this because you have to decide just when it's really over and just how much more you want to deal with Human Waste like this. Is it worth it to you to let them get away with this garbage in order to simply eradicate this Filth from your life, once and for all, or do you stand up and show them that they can't carry on being Pigs and using good people as their personal Stys? There are good arguments on each side.

Nance said...

Sigh. That would be spelled "sties". Ahem.

Swapna said...

ohh Suebob ,

These people are just , oh I don't have a word for them. But glad to know that she does not know the difference between your/you're and also here/her , :) ,so guess you should just send a copy of this letter to the judge and let them have it on file for a lifetime !

elvie said...

I agree with sending to the judge.
They sound dangerous and scary.

Lex - @laprimera said...

I agree with PunditMom. Send a copy to the judge.

And also, I love how they say you're a celebrity in Conejo Valley. Which just means that they display their idiocy all around the community.

I am very thankful I was not with you the day you and Goldie first encountered the Von Trapp family. The outcome would have been much uglier.

lizgwiz said...

Add me to the list of people who want you to send a copy to the judge/courthouse. The next person whose dog gets mauled by theirs will thank you!

Skye said...

Another vote for sending it to the judge. That is appalling.

There is a clear genetic link between a lack of intelligence and ass-hattery. The spelling makes my head hurt.

Maybe time to start packing pepper spray for the beach? That would teach them!

Did the check clear?

god that's depressing. so sorry.

Joan said...

Terrible! It's just sad. I will never understand why some people want to be that way.

Stinkypaw said...

Wow... they're really up there in class, etc.

Wow, what an asshat.

Ericka said...

wow. just. wow.

i concur with the crowd - send a copy of the note to the court. that should be on record somewhere.

the sad thing is, they aren't alone.

on ONE of the planes i was on last week, there was a situation wherein this bubblehead texan blond attacked the flight attendant as being racist because she'd promised overhead bin space to a passenger there first who happened to be black. bubblehead was very loud and obnoxious about it but the attendant did a beautiful job of shutting her down. just that she had to, over bin space though, is mindboggling. people are crazy.
